Extract Audio from Video by VLC

How do you feel when you require particular information, which forces you to watch a one-hour documentary to get the static or information? It is obviously boring and you may wish that this documentary has an audio version only as well. Basically, videos are used to retain the concentration of the audience while elaborating on any significant issue. Now, what will be the feeling if there is an opportunity to segregate the audio from the whole composition and listen only to the recorded audio while doing other work. In such a scenario VLC Media Player can provide an easy and effective solution.

After 13 years of development, version 1.0.0 of the VLC media player was released on July 7, 2009, and the prime work started on VLC for Android in 2010, it is available on the Google Play store since 2011, (Paul, 2012). The software has a higher degree of reputation and is used by a significant number of people to watch stored videos. Following the advancement in technology, the media player also integrated various advanced features; among them, the segregation between audio and video is the prominent one. Below is a step-wise guide to allow the users to extract the audio in case of the requirement, described above. It allows getting an mp3 or audio content version as well. Lastly, VLC also allows importing transposition within the format of the video.

Furthermore, the first step to segregating the audio is required to open the respective video by using a VLC media player. Secondly, a single click on the media button (above and in the left-hand corner) is required. Following this click find the option named convert and save. The third task is to drag the video file to the upper box of the convert and save option. Then simply click on convert save, and a dropdown context consisting of a significant amount of converting options will be popped out. Furthermore, click on the mp3 option as the target is to segregate the audio from the audiovisual composition. Here, a small task’s conduction is needed- showcasing the output repository pathway by browsing within the drives at the designated position. Name the file and click on convert, the process will start immediately. It should be mentioned that the converting duration is very dependent on the length of the audiovisual component. So, meanwhile, there is an option to take a tea break.

After the completion of converting task, the file needs to play through audacity (another recording software). To know more about the software please visit https://www.audacityteam.org/, it is free to use though they have a premium version for higher quality work.

If you find the article beneficial for you please don’t forget to share and like. We are also expecting constructive and substantive comments from the readers about any other way to differentiate audio from a video. I would like to research that also.
